Privacy
FGD is a small, independent foundry. There are no accounts, no ads and no selling of data. This page explains what is collected when you visit or buy, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
fgdesigners.com is run by FGD Designers, Marcelo Reis Melo, in Stockholm, Sweden. For anything about your data, write to fgd@fgdesigners.com.
Analytics, only if you accept
Google Analytics shows which fonts and pages people like, which devices and countries visitors use and how they find the site. Its cookies (_ga and _ga_…) are set only after you click Accept, and last up to two years. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Data is kept for at most 14 months.
Until you accept, or if you choose Only necessary, no analytics cookies are set. Pages send Google a basic signal without cookies or identifiers, so overall visit numbers can be estimated. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page.
Cart and purchases
The cart and checkout are run by Sellfy. When you add something to the cart, your browser keeps a random cart number so the cart stays the same from page to page. It goes to Sellfy, through this site's server, only to show and update your cart.
At checkout Sellfy collects your name, email and payment details, takes the payment and sends the receipt and download links. FGD sees the order (name, email, country and what you bought) to deliver it, to help you and for bookkeeping. Swedish law requires sales records to be kept for seven years.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to get a free font, your email is used to send new fonts a few times a year, nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask to be removed by email.
Saved in your browser
A few small settings are kept in your own browser so the site works the way you expect: light or dark mode, your cart number, whether you closed the newsletter card, and your cookie choice. They stay on your device, are not used for tracking, and are removed when you clear your browser's site data.
Hosting, images and video
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it briefly logs requests (IP address, browser and page) for security and troubleshooting. Product images load from Sellfy's and Google's image servers, which see your IP address the same way. Videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube only sets cookies when you play one.
Who receives data
Google (analytics and image hosting), Sellfy (store, checkout and email, together with its payment providers) and Vercel (hosting). Some of them process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. FGD never sells your data or uses it for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data FGD has about you, have it corrected or deleted, get a copy, object to how it is used, or withdraw your consent. Write to fgd@fgdesigners.com. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.
